How to activate a Suspended Account ?
To activate a suspended account online, follow these steps:
Eligibility: Ensure you have an Aadhaar-linked mobile number, are the sole holder of an individual demat account, and no joint holders.
Online Activation:
- Navigate to the reactivation page via Re-KYC link.
- Enter your UCC and Date of Birth, then submit.
- Verify via OTP sent to your registered email and mobile.
- Confirm KYC details and submit the reactivation request.
- Next Steps:
- Verification of Details: Once you have completed the online/offline Activating process, we verify your personal details. If there are any issues, we'll contact you within 24 hours.
- KRA Data Check:
- We compare your details with the Know Your Client Registration Agency (KRA).
- If everything matches, your account is activated within 48 working hours.
- If not, we update your details with KRA, which is required for account activation.
- Updating Data with KRA:
- KRA sends you an email and SMS to verify your email and mobile number.
- Click the validation links in the email and SMS to confirm your details.
- Once verified by KRA, your account will be activated within 24 hours.
- Timelines:
- Online Request: Up to 5 working days, if you promptly verify your email and mobile.
- Offline Request: Up to 10 working days, with prompt email and mobile verification.
- Corrections: Any necessary corrections may extend the timeline.
Physical Activation:
- Download and fill out the KYC form (PDF), enclosing self-attested copies of your PAN card, address proof (if changed), and a cheque leaf (if the bank details have changed).
