Unable to view holdings in the APP ?

Normally, shares bought in the market are delivered to your Demat Account on T+1 (Trading Day plus one working day). However, there may be instances where your holdings might not reflect in your trading app or portfolio. Below are common reasons and how you can check your holdings in these scenarios:

1. Close-out Credit

Cause: If there are no buyers or sellers, a close-out bill is generated. The exchange will adjust by crediting shares or an equivalent amount to your account.

How to Check: Refer to the Close-out Credit Process for adjustments.

2. Suspended/Delisted Shares

Cause: Shares that are suspended or delisted from the exchange may not be visible in the portfolio.

How to Check: Check your Holding Report under Statements & Reports in the trading app.

3. Corporate Actions

Cause: Shares undergoing corporate actions such as mergers, splits, or bonuses may not appear until processed.

How to Check: Wait until the shares are credited or relisted on the exchange.

4. IPO Shares

Cause: IPO shares will be credited only on the listing date. Trading can start once the company is listed.

How to Check: Check your holdings after the company is listed on the exchange.

5. Frozen Demat Account/ISIN

Cause: Non-compliance, pending documentation, or a user-requested freeze may cause holdings to disappear.

How to Check: Review your Holding Report under Statements & Reports.

6. Trading Account Suspension

Cause: Inactivity or regulatory non-compliance can suspend your trading account.

How to Check: Ensure your trading account is active and compliant.

7. Non-POA/DDPI Compliance

Cause: Non-submission of Power of Attorney (POA) or Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction (DDPI).

How to Check: Submit POA/DDPI to enable holdings visibility. Check here to know how to enable DDPI if you haven't already.

8. Trading Holidays

Cause: Stock markets remain closed on trading holidays, delaying the update of holdings.

How to Check: Check your holdings in the Back Office Report by navigating to Statements & Reports.
