Margin Trade Funding (MTF) is a facility that allows you to purchase more stocks with less margin, offering up to 3 times the leverage of your available margin. For example, with a margin of ₹10 lakhs, you can buy stocks worth up to ₹30 lakhs and hold them for as long as you like.

How to Avail MTF

1. Activation:

• Online Activation: Go to your Trading Platform, tap on Profile, and enable MTF from the Segment Activation page. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the activation. You can also click here to activate it directly.\

Joint and NRO Accounts: Joint account holders and NRO account holders, who are unable to activate MTF online, can raise a ticket to request MTF activation.

• Offline Activation:  Submit a request for MTF activation using 'Create Ticket' option provided at the bottom of this article.

2. Funding Your MTF Account:

• Transfer Funds: Transfer funds to your MTF collateral account.
• Pledge Existing Stocks: Pledge your existing stocks as MTF collateral.
• Both: Use a combination of transferring funds and pledging stocks to fund your MTF account.

Once activated, you can buy more stocks and hold them as long as you wish under the MTF facility.
