What is the procedure to open an account for differently-abled persons at Navia Markets?
Accounts for differently-abled clients can be opened with Navia. However, for mentally challenged clients or those with multiple disorders, the account cannot be opened online. A guardian must complete the offline account opening process on behalf of the client.
Required documents and forms
The guardian must fill, sign, and submit the following:
Application forms
- Equity & Demat account opening form
- KYC forms for both client and guardian
- DDPI (optional)
Supporting documents
- Disability certificate (showing % of disability)
- Guardianship certificate (notarised copy)
- Passport-size photos (client & guardian, signed across)
- PAN copies (client & guardian)
- Address proof (Aadhaar / Passport / Voter ID / Driving Licence)
Bank proof (in client’s name)
Any one of the following:
- Cancelled cheque (name printed)
- Bank statement
- Passbook copy (with account details)
Instructions for filling forms
- Fill all mandatory details carefully
- Guardian must sign wherever required
- Ensure witness details are filled correctly
- Avoid incomplete or incorrect information
How to arrange assistance
You can:
- Contact Navia support or your relationship manager
- Request assistance for completing the documentation process
Timeline
The account will generally be opened within 2–5 working days after receiving complete documents.
Charges
- Account opening charges: Standard Navia account opening charges may apply (as per current tariff)
- Representative visit charges: Charges (if any) are applicable based on the client’s location
(Clients are advised to confirm applicable charges with support or refer to the latest tariff.)
Important note
- Online account opening is not permitted for such cases
- The guardian is responsible for managing and complying on behalf of the client
- Incorrect or incomplete details may lead to rejection or delay
