How to Change Your Name in Navia Demat Account
Why is your name different in the Navia account?
The name in your Navia demat account is fetched directly from the Income Tax Department (ITD) based on your PAN records, not from the documents submitted while opening the account. So, if your name has changed or is incorrect, you’ll need to first update it with the ITD (PAN database).
Steps to Update Your Name in Navia Account
- Update your name in PAN (ITD records)
- Gather the required documents (based on your reason for name change)
- Fill and sign the Navia Account Modification & KYC forms
- Submit the forms via courier or in person
Documents Required Based on Reason for Name Change
1. Minor Name Corrections
- Expansion of Initials.
- Addition of Middle Name
- Abbreviation to initials
- Correction of spelling mistakes
Documents Needed:
- Navia KYC Form (Click Here)
- Name Change Request Form (Click Here)
- Self-attested PAN with updated name
- Self-attested address proof (masked Aadhaar recommended)
- Signature must match as per DP Records.
2. Name Change Due to Any one of the below mentioned reason.
- Due to Marriage
- Change in Father’s Name
- Due to reasons other than Marriage
