Why are my orders rejected while placing large quantities

Orders may be rejected if they exceed the maximum quantity limit for a single order. To avoid "fat finger" errors (e.g., accidentally selling 100,000 shares instead of 1,000), orders beyond this limit must be split into multiple smaller orders. The exchange sets these limits, which vary by platform. Below are Navia's specific limits:

Equity Cash Segment:

  • Single Order Quantity: 20,000
  • Single Order Value: ₹2.5 Crore
  • Total Buy Value: ₹25 Crores
  • Total Sell Value: ₹25 Crores
  • Turnover Limit: ₹1 Crore

Equity & MCX Derivatives:

  • Single Order Quantity for Equity F&O : As per Exchange Quantity Freeze limits. Current limits can be checked under the List of Underlying - Symbol name.
  • Single Order Value (Eq F&O): ₹10 Crores
  • Single Order Value (MCX): ₹2 Crores
